FAQs

Got a question about our garden landscape edging products?

  • How do you bend EverEdge garden edging?

EverEdge garden edging is highly flexible, making it easy to curve or angle. To create a curve, simply bend the edging by hand or around a circular object, such as a tyre. For angles, mark a line where you want the bend and use a sharp right-angle tool like a workbench edge, a piece of timber, or even another EverEdge section to form the desired shape.

  • What depth should I choose for my garden edging?

EverEdge garden edging is available in three depths: 75mm, 100mm, and 125mm (excluding the spikes, which are 95mm or 100mm). We recommend burying the edging to the top of the spike (15mm into the visible edge face). If your edge depth doesn’t match our sizes, you can drive the 75mm edging deeper into the ground until it fits perfectly.

  • Can I cut EverEdge garden edging?

Yes, EverEdge can easily be cut using a grinder or a hacksaw. To handle excess material, either overlap it behind the starting point (if possible) or bend it at a 90° angle and tuck it against a wall, bank, or flower bed. This also strengthens the end of the edging run.

  • How deep should EverEdge be installed?

For mowing convenience, the top of the edging should be flush with the lawn. Ensure the edging is level with the turf, just below the grass cutting height. This detail is highlighted in our installation guide, which comes with your EverEdge purchase.

  • How long will EverEdge garden edging last?

EverEdge is crafted from galvanised mild steel with a rust-resistant, powder-coated finish. Once installed, it’s maintenance-free and designed to last for generations, ensuring lasting value for your garden.

  • How does Cor-Ten garden edging look when it first arrives on site?

Cor-Ten steel edging arrives as dull blue steel, not pre-rusted. Over 3–6 months, the surface develops a beautiful rust-like patina that protects the steel underneath. The color may continue to evolve over a 12-month period, depending on environmental conditions.

  • Can I install my EverEdge garden edging proud?

We generally recommend installing EverEdge level with the turf. However, in some cases, having the edging slightly above ground can be desirable. Keep in mind that Cor-Ten and unpainted galvanised edging can be sharp, making them less suitable for homes with children or pets if installed proud.

  • How do I install EverEdge garden edging in soft/clay ground?

In soft or clay soil, the weight of a mower or even foot traffic can push the edging into the ground. To prevent this, place pieces of flat tile or brick under each joint or along the edging. Alternatively, use the Pin & Sleeve system to provide extra support and stability.

  • Does EverEdge garden edging control grass runners?

Yes, EverEdge garden edging is highly effective at preventing grass runners from spreading into areas where they aren’t welcome, helping to keep your garden neat and tidy.

  • What are your shipping costs?

    • 1–10 metres: $17.50
    • 11–20 metres: $34.50
    • 21+ metres: $57.50
    • Tree Rings: $34.50 for one, or $57.50 for two or more.
